Packaging Supplies a Must For Rapid Fulfillment

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

A reliable fulfillment center can be a great asset to small businesses that lack the size or strength to handle warehousing, picking, packaging and shipping. By outsourcing to a fulfillment center, the business is able to focus on the strengths of their product rather than worrying about optimizing their supply chain. Fulfillment centers are staffed with the best shipping professionals who have both years of experience and state-of-the-art equipment to accomplish the job quickly, efficiently, and under budget.

A fulfillment house can be your one stop shop for warehousing and order processing. They can use the right packaging supplies for your business’ product and image and streamline the fulfillment process in ways that your business alone might not be able to accomplish. A fulfillment house offers warehousing services to store their inventory off-site from the business. They can process orders with as little as an invoice from your business and quickly fill the order, pack it, and have it on it’s way to your customer in no time. Many large fulfillment centers even offer return and exchange services, and advanced options, such as order and shipment tracking.

If your business exists within the E-Commerce realm, you should seriously consider using a fulfillment service. It can help you fully automate your business operations, allowing you to rely on the fulfillment house to keep your customers happy, and freeing you up to focus on big picture strategy, marketing, and product development.

The strength of fulfillment houses lies in their ability to automate processes into highly efficient systems. They have years of operations experience to help them process, assemble, pack and ship incredibly high volumes of products daily. Watching a fulfillment house at work can truly be an amazing thing.

Perhaps you too can take advantage of the expertise and efficiency that a fulfillment center offers. Ask your friendly packaging supplier for references about this kind of service.

Protect Your Goods During Shipment by Using the Right Packaging Products

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

Packing and shipping products is a necessary department to many businesses, and protecting these goods are just as important. Choosing the right mailing box or envelope ensures the goods inside are snug during shipment, but what about fragile items and electronics? You can never be too careful when packing your shipping containers, and you certainly don’t want to rely on the shipping company to replace any damaged items. Before closing your packaged boxes, make sure everything is where it needs to be.

Fill any negative space with packing peanuts or crumpled paper in order to completely secure the contents of your shipping container. Because your mailing boxes can travel great distances before arriving at the final destination, you want to make sure nothing is damaged along the way. If you want to add extra stability to your packaging, include custom poly-foam material built for the specific product. Electronic products especially need to be stabilized during shipment, as the slightest knocking around can easily damage the item.

Check the contents of your mailing box or envelope before sealing. Is everything properly secured? Move the box around a bit and see how much each of the items inside move and whether or not they rub against each other. Make sure you’ve included everything needed for this particular shipment and that everything is well protected.

There has been a new development in food packaging supplies that will be introduced to consumers later this year. Heinz has invented the first condiment package that gives consumers the option to dip or squeeze.

According to a Packworld.com article, the “dual-function” food package is a “true packaging breakthrough.” A consumer can peel the package’s lid back for dipping or can remove its front end to squeeze the condiment onto their meal. This may change the way other companies develop food packaging supplies.

The article said the package is “portable, clean and versatile.” The price of the package was not stated in the article. Either way, if this new product is successful with consumers there will be more developments like it in food packaging supplies in the near future.
